My criteria, or requirements, back in the spring of 2013 were: a new bike, light weight, enduro capable, plenty of power, runs on 80 octane fuel and long service intervals. A good selection of after-market parts also had an impact. Anyhow, I don’t think I had any other options that would have met my criteria, other than the KTM 690 Enduro R. The perfect bike would do longer journeys and retain the agility and performance of a lightweight enduro.
